Get to know: Tahlulah Tillett

Ahead of the nib Newcastle Knights introduction to the NRL Telstra Women's Premiership, we sat down with the squad members who are creating history in the red and blue.

We caught up with breakout star from the Queensland Rugby League Women's Premiership, Tahlulah Tillett, to get to know her a little better.

Having represented Australia in touch football and travelled down to Newcastle alongside a bunch of her North Queensland Gold Stars teammates, 'Tilly' is ready to take the NRLW by storm.

Position/s: Halfback/Five-eight.

Junior Club: Cairns Kangaroos

You’re journey in the game? Where have you played before?

Started playing when I was nine years old with the boys. Before signing with the Knights, I was playing for the North Queensland Gold Stars in the QRL BHP Premiership.

How excited are you to be a part of the first ever NRLW side for the Newcastle Knights?

Very excited to be a part of the first NRLW side. It's been a childhood dream come true to be able to play in the NRLW.

What’s your hopes and expectations for the season ahead?

To set a high standard as a playing group on and off the field, and to win the competition.

What are you most looking forward to for the season?

Being able to make my debut alongside this group of women.

Favourite movie/book?

Johnathan Thurston's autobiography.

Best piece of advice you’ve received?

When things get tough, always remember why you started.

Where did you grow up?

Cairns.

Who is most important to you?

My friends and family.

Greatest on-field moment?

Making my debut for the North Queensland Gold Stars.

Greatest off-field achievement?

Representing Australia in touch football.
