Season Review: Dom Young

Dom Young had a fantastic first season playing in Australia exhibiting his formidable potential.

The England-born outside-back arrived in Newcastle at the start of the 2021 pre-season and has showcased his strong power game.

Young became Newcastle Knights #323 making his top grade debut in the Knights Round 3 clash against the Wests Tigers.

After impressing in the NSW Cup, Young made his debut and made six appearances in the NRL.

The towering winger scored four tries including a stunning double in the Knights rout over the North Queensland Cowboys in Round 16.

Young's other two tries came against top four outfits, the Melbourne Storm and South Sydney Rabbitohs.

Young also featured in four NSW Cup games scoring three tries.

Within his six NRL games, the Englishmen averaged 130 running metres and had 14 tackle breaks.

Young also combined with two try-assists and two line-breaks.

Growing in confidence from his first season, Young will look to impress and continue his development in 2022.
