Man of the Match: Ponga and Pearce shine in heart-stopping win

How's the heart rate, Knights fans?

The boys were again made to do things the hard way, coming from behind to clinch a 15-14 win over the Gold Coast, and while the whole team put in impressive displays, it was a largely a tale of two players.

Kalyn Ponga and Mitchell Pearce were on fire, with Pearce calmly slotting a clutch field goal in the 80th minute to seal a spot in the finals for his side.

But was he the man of the match? Don't forget to have your say below!

Mitchell Pearce

When the chips were down, it's no coincidence Pearce stood up to be counted.

Pearce was involved in a number of key plays in the second half, including a stunning individual try along with the match winning field goal.

Pearce also managed to break two tackles and run for 70 metres in a dominant display at halfback.

Kalyn Ponga

With the NRL stacked full of elite fullbacks, it's easy to forget who stands where.

But 'KP' has a knack on reminding you exactly why he's right up with the best of the best.

Ponga was in everything at Sunshine Coast Stadium, running for 179 run metres and breaking nine tackles on his way to an epic win.

He also crossed for a crucial first half try and played a key hand in Pearce's equaliser late in the contest.

A terrific display from our custodian.

Hymel Hunt

For the second week on the bounce, Hunt was up there with the best players on the field.

Hunt ran for a team-high 185 run metres, which came in handy with the Knights constantly on the back foot for a lot of the contest.

He also defended well from the opening whistle, but was he your man of the match? Have your say below now!
