Season Review: Sam Stone

After making his debut in 2017 and impressing Coach Nathan Brown, rising edge Sam Stone found it a little tougher to get into the Knights 17 last season.

He only appeared in two games but did get to start in one of those games in Round 16 against Canterbury-Bankstown.

The hard-working backrower however did have a solid season in the ISP NSW side, featuring in 16 games and scoring four tries.

He is still developing as a player, so the experience of playing NRL in 2018 will be valuable.

Be The Player: Week 6

2018 Moment of the Year: Round 16 v Canterbury-Bankstown

It was a packed house at McDonald Jones Stadium when the Bulldogs came to town in Round 16.

Lachlan Fitzgibbon was out due to suspension and Stone started in the second-row.

After playing 16 games in 2017, it wasn't something Stone would have been nervous about as he got through 70 minutes of play.

He made 31 tackles and ran for 77 metres.

The Knights started strong in the contest but injuries to Kalyn Ponga and Slade Griffin made the task difficult.

The Knights were up 16-12 at the break but with the loss of those players, the Knights were defeated 36-16.
