There's been no shortage of interest in our boys this week.

The nib Newcastle Knights attract plenty of media attention and we've pulled together the best of it in case you missed any of the news.

Here's what our boys got up to this week:

Ponga adds to impressive list of 2018 accolades

Kalyn Ponga has added to his personal trophy cabinet, being voted Australia's best athlete under the age of 21.

Mann's goal for 2019

Over a couple of months, Sporting News Australia consulted Australian sporting team officials, commentators and former athletes to vote who they thought was the best young talent in the country.

The 20-year-old's first season in Newcastle was a success and he attributes much of his accomplishments to Coach Nathan Brown.

"Browny's (Nathan Brown) made me learn lots about myself the last year," Ponga told Sporting News Australia

"He put belief in me and made me believe I can sort of do things that I didn't think I can do."

Ponga's newest teammate, Jesse Ramien also featured on the list after his stellar 2018 season for Cronulla, coming in at 33.

Brown: 'Danny has had his best weeks'

Ponga is privilege to win the award and says he now has set his sights on having another successful season in 2019.

"All the boys are looking to work hard over the pre-season, and who knows what we can do in 2019," he said.
