Junior League Appreciation Round

This weekend against the Brisbane Broncos the Club is also set to celebrate the connection between past, present and future players.

Junior League Appreciation Round recognises grassroots football and the many people who keep rugby league thriving in the Hunter community.

Game day will be a celebration of the hard work and dedication of local clubs from across the region, including not just the thousands of players, but parents, club officials, coaches, referees and volunteers who all contribute to making the game of rugby league what it is today.

In recognition of the long journey from local clubs to first grade, Old Boys will be welcomed onto the field pre-game, accompanied by a junior from the club they used to play for.

It will form part of the guard of honour to welcome the 2018 Knights team onto the ground, a perfect symbol of our region’s rugby league past, present and future.

Junior Knights Members and fans are also being encouraged to turn up to the game this Saturday in their club colours to pay tribute to local rugby league.

Thanks to the PlayNRL program, all junior players, volunteers, coaches and officials can redeem a free NRL ticket. Check out the PlayNRL rewards website for more info.
