The Newcastle Knights are proud to recognise Werris Creek Junior Rugby League Club as our August Club of the Month for their commitment to creating a safe, inclusive and supportive environment for everyone involved in the game.
Now in their second year of fielding a girls tackle team, Werris Creek JRLC continues to encourage participation across all age groups. With more than 90% of the committee made up of women, three female coaches and over 50% female volunteers, the club is helping create strong opportunities for women and girls in rugby league.
The club has also developed a strong connection with its senior club, with senior players regularly supporting Come and Try Days and training alongside junior teams throughout the season.
Driven by values of respect, inclusion and community, Werris Creek JRLC is dedicated to ensuring every player, volunteer, official and family member feels welcomed, supported and valued.
