nib Newcastle Knights hooker Phoenix Crossland has been recognised for his outstanding contribution to the community, named the club's nominee for the 2026 Ken Stephen Medal.
The prestigious award recognises NRL players who demonstrate exceptional leadership, commitment and service away from the football field, celebrating the positive impact they have within their communities.
Knights fans can now support Phoenix by casting their vote for the Ken Stephen Medal People's Choice Award here.
Among his many contributions, Phoenix has made multiple personal visits to John Hunter Children's Hospital in his own time, spending time with young patients and their families to help brighten their day during difficult circumstances.
He has also played a leading role in the Knights on Tour program, travelling to Coffs Harbour, Cessnock and Raymond Terrace to connect with fans and support grassroots rugby league.
"It's a real honour to be nominated for the Ken Stephen Medal," Crossland said.
"The Hunter community gives our team so much support every single week, so whenever I get the opportunity to give something back, it's something I really enjoy doing."
Voting for the Ken Stephen Medal People's Choice Award is now open.
