Morgan Evans to Headline ANZAC Round Halftime

Newcastle will welcome home one of its own this ANZAC Round, with country music star Morgan Evans confirmed to perform at halftime at McDonald Jones Stadium - presented by Coca-Cola

A proud Novocastrian, Evans returns to familiar territory having previously lit up the stadium, most notably during the Knights’ home finals clash in 2023.

Known for his high-energy performances and global country hits, fans can expect a special hometown show on one of the biggest occasions on the rugby league calendar.

“Nowhere I'd rather be on an ANZAC Sunday than playing some music & cheering on the boys at Newy (McDonald Jones) Stadium!," Evans said.

"It's a big game and the band and I will be bringing the hometown energy at halftime.”

Having built an international career spanning chart-topping releases and sold-out tours across Australia and the United States, Evans has remained deeply connected to Newcastle and the Knights, making his return all the more meaningful for fans.

nib Knights Chief Commercial Officer Jodie Cross said the club is thrilled to welcome him back for such a significant fixture.

“We’re thrilled to bring Morgan back home to Newcastle and onto the stage at McDonald Jones Stadium for ANZAC Round," Cross said.

“There’s a genuine connection between Morgan and this club and having him perform on a stage like this, on a weekend that means so much, will add to what’s already a massive occasion.”

“Our home games continue to evolve beyond the 80 minutes, and this is another example of delivering a complete match-day experience for our members and fans.”
