
The nib Newcastle Knights NRL side have gone down 34-14 to the Cronulla-Sutherland Sharks at McDonald Jones Stadium on Sunday night.
In a bruising encounter, the Sharks ran in six tries to the Knights three to takeaway the two points.
The Knights will look to snap their run of recent form with a win on Anzac Day against the Warriors next start.

1st min: The match kicked off in front of 24,248 Members and supporters for Members Appreciation Round at McDonald Jones Stadium.
12th min: Cronulla struck first when prop Oregon Kaufusi went over under the posts.
15th min: Fletcher Sharpe looked to have reduced the deficit with a try, slicing through the Sharks defence but the the try was overruled for obstruction in the lead-up.
17th min: The Sharks would have their second when Addin Fonua-Blake barged over following some offloads from the away side's attack.
21st min: The away side would have their third when Sam Stonestreet scored in the corner to put their lead out to 16-0.
30th min: Newcastle hit back with Greg Marzhew charging over in the corner in game 50 in the red and blue
40th min: The Knights trailed at the break 16-4.
44th min: Knights winger James Schiller was sent to the sin-bin following a high shot on Sharks centre Mawene Hiroti.
46th min: The Sharks extended their lead when Stonestreet raced away following an intercept pass.
49th min: Will Kennedy got on the end of a Blayke Brailey kick to score the Sharks fifth of the game.
70th min: Greg Marzhew produced an impressive individual run, weaving and passing through multiple defenders before finding Sharpe in support.
73rd min: Mawene Hiroti scored the Sharks sixth try of the night.
78th min: James Schiller scored a late consolation try for the Knights.
80th min: The match ended 34-14 in favour of the Sharks.

The Knights will travel across the Tasman Sea to take on the Warriors in an Anzac Day clash in Christchurch this Saturday.
