Blake Green joins the KNIGHTS // HQ Podcast

Former Knight and current NRL Assistant Coach, Blake Green, joins the KNIGHTS // HQ Podcast to talk about his role at the Club and the state of the current game from an attack coach's point of view.

The boys chat about what goes into a game week for our assistant coaches while 'Greeny' provided an insight into the type of messages they give to the players in preparation for the weekend's match.

Green also spoke about the junior development systems currently in place and the notion of nurturing future first graders.

"I'm a big fan of having a style, an identity (of play)," Green said.

"If you're in a contest, you got to to have a thread to what you do, a strategy, something you stand for, DNA, identity... what are you trying to do to tactically win the game.

"Last year I was big on having a style that we could be known for.

A 270-game half across the NRL and Super League, Green touched on his playing days including learning off and picking up tendencies from players such as Cameron Smith that have helped shaped his coaching style.

We round out the podcast with a player quiz, testing Blake's knowledge on his career including stories from a Super League Grand Final win.

Don't forget to leave a review of the podcast and tell us who you want to hear from inside the Knights camp.
