Pathways Report: Jersey Flegg side bounce back

In this week's pathways report, we take a look at the nib Newcastle Knights pathways teams in the Knock-On-Effect NSW Cup and Jersey Flegg Cup competitions.

The two sides travelled down to Redfern Oval last Sunday to take on the South Sydney Rabbitohs pathways sides.

See how each team fared:

NSW Cup - Knights 16-34 Rabbitohs

The NSW Cup side has gone down by 18 points to the South Sydney Rabbitohs at Redfern Oval on Sunday.

The Bunnies opened the scoring three minutes into the game before John Toleafoa crossed the stripe for the Knights on the 14th minute mark.

South Sydney would lead by two points at half-time after the outfits traded tries including a runaway intercept to Lachlan Miller before the break.

NSW Cup: Round 21 Highlights

The Bunnies would runaway with the game in the second half with four tries while Sebastian Su'a scored a late consolation for the red and blue.

The Knights remain in 12th spot on the ladder ahead of an away trip against Canberra next round.

Jersey Flegg Cup - Knights 22-14 Rabbitohs

The Jersey Flegg Cup side have returned to the winner's circle with an eight point victory over the Rabbitohs.

Fullback Fletcher Sharpe had the Knights off to a perfect start scoring inside the opening two minutes off a scrum win.

The Knights doubled their lead as Jahoiyakim Afoa showcased his speed with a 70-metre solo try.

Jersey Flegg: Round 21 Highlights

Newcastle extended their advantage when Jye Linnane stepped through the line to score after 20 minutes on the clock.

The Bunnies would score either side of half-time before Sharpe scored his second off a line-break from Kyle McCarthy to secure the victory for the Knights.

The Knights still remain in 12th ahead of a trip down to Canberra next Saturday.
