
The nib Newcastle Knights have gone down 20-12 to the Penrith Panthers at BlueBet Stadium on Saturday night.
The Panthers scored four tries to the Knights two to take the victory.
Newcastle will look to respond next start when they play the Bulldogs heading into the third and final bye round.

55th min - Jackson Hastings reduced the deficit to eight points capitalising on an opportunity for the Knights second four-pointer.
The halfback dummied into the line and dived over the next to the posts to make the scores 20-12 with 25 minutes remaining.
