Miller: "I want to bring the energy"

Since arriving to the nib Newcastle Knights, Lachlan Miller has shown his intent from the word go.

The energetic fullback has led from the back in the opening rounds to lead the competition for most runs (150) and most tackle breaks (57).

The Coffs Harbour product also has 16 Dally M votes to his name to sit equal 7th on the standings.

Having arrived in the off-season from the Sharks and after converting back to the game he grew up playing, Miller stated he wanted to hit the ground running in his new colours.

The No.1 joined the KNIGHTS // HQ Podcast to talk about his new surroundings in Newcastle, his journey across two codes and his excitement for the remainder of the season. Listen on Spotify or Apple.

"I just wanted something I could control," Miller said on the KNIGHTS // HQ Podcast.

"I'm an energetic person, so I just wanted to bring the energy and it's not hard for me to take a bit of effort off our forwards.

"I wanted to make a lot of carries, and build my game off that.

"It's been a very enjoyable first couple of months."

Lachie joins hosts Jae and Mat as we kick-off the episode with a new segment, 'Are you smarter than a front-rower' as we test our fullback's general knowledge on a range of topics.

Miller also discusses his early days in league and some of his idols growing up before making the move into rugby 7's.
