Upton on decision to re-sign with the Club

With the ink still drying on her new contract with our Club, nib Newcastle Knights NRLW fullback Tamika Upton joined the KNIGHTS // HQ Podcast.

The Queensland Origin representative and NRLW premiership winner spoke about her new extension, calling Newcastle home for the next five years.

Upton reflected on a huge 12 months, winning the 2022 premiership, plus making lifelong connections with her teammates and the town. Listen on Apple or Spotify.

"I absolutely love the girls here, and the culture in the Club," Upton said on the KNIGHTS // HQ Podcast.

"Importantly, I love Newcastle. I got to see a little bit when I first came down here and did some exploring, and yeah I absolutely love it.

"I think last year I was two weeks into the season, I rang back home and said 'I don't think I'm leaving here' and that was in the first couple of weeks."

We also chat about the expansion of the NRLW for the 2023 season and the excitement for the new campaign to kick off.
