Late Mail: Team confirmed for Warriors clash

nib Newcastle Knights Head Coach Adam O'Brien has confirmed his team ahead of our Round 1 clash against the Warriors at Sky Stadium, Wellington.

The team will run out 1-17 against the Warriors with Jack Johns named as 18th man.

The team will take to the field tonight in a one-off jersey bearing the logo of the John Hunter Children’s Hospital, thanks to Knights Platinum partner Palmerbet.

In line with legislation governing sports betting in both Australia and New Zealand, Palmerbet has opted to substitute its logo for that of the Hospital – a long-time Knights community partner, on both youth retail jerseys as well as those to be worn in the match against the Warriors.

The match-worn jerseys will be auctioned by Palmerbet and the Knights following the match with all proceeds to be donated to the work ‘The John’ does for children in need from across the region, from the Central Coast to the Central West and North West to North Coast.

Details of the auction will be announced soon
