Knights players claim honours at Brad Fittler Medal ceremony

A group of nib Newcastle Knights players have been recognised at the annual Brad Fittler Medal awards night, hosted by NSWRL on Monday.

Knights NRLW forward Caitlan Johnston made history after being awarded the Sky Blues award.

The first of its kind and voted by her teammates, it comes after Johnston's inspiring State of Origin debut for the NSW Blues earlier this year.

Knight #334 and NSW Blues Under 19's Origin skipper, Oryn Keeley, took home the State of Origin player of the match award for the pathways match against Queensland.

NRLW five-eight, Kirra Dibb, claimed the Harvey Norman NSW Women's Premiership player of the year award after a stellar season with the North Sydney Bears.

Meanwhile NRLW development player, Jessica Gentle was awarded the Country Women's player of the year award while playing for the Central Coast Roosters.

Congratulations to all of our Knights who were recognised on the night.
