Frizell and Saifiti named in extended Blues squad

New South Wales Coach, Brad Fittler, has named nib Newcastle Knights players, Tyson Frizell and Jacob Saifiti, in the extended squad for Game I of State of Origin on June 8.

Frizell is no stranger to the rep arena having played 14 times for the Blues since his debut in 2016.

Jacob Saifiti earns his first call-up to the Origin squad after a stellar 2021 season, picking up the Danny Buderus Medal for Player of the Year, plus a strong start to the 2022 campaign.

The Blues will take on the Maroons on Wednesday week at ANZ Stadium.
