Season Review: David Klemmer

David Klemmer had another huge year in the red and blue.

Having just completed his third season in Newcastle, Klemmer continues to stack up big numbers and provides significant leadership in the middle of the park.

For his seventh consecutive season, 'Klem' ran for over 3,000 running metres with an average of 164 this year.

Klemmer played 21 games for the Knights in 2021.

The prop-forward produced big minutes in every single game either starting or featuring off the bench.

Continually showcasing his drive and desire, Klemmer ran for over 200 metres on five occasions throughout the year.

The 27-year-old finished fifth in the NRL for post-contact metres with 1,401.

Klemmer averaged 15 hit ups per game and made 17 offloads.

'Klem' does have one growing stat having gone four seasons without scoring a try.

2022 will be Klemmer's fourth with the Knights and expect another massive year from the experienced forward. Can he also finally break his try-scoring duck?
