Season Review: Tyson Frizell

Tyson Frizell added another exciting dimension to the nib Newcastle Knights line-up in 2021.

In his first season at the Club, Frizell showcased his high-quality traits which has seen him play at the highest level of the game.

The 29-year-old made 19 appearances for the red and blue in the 2021 season.

Frizell played the first 12 games of the season featuring in key wins over the Warriors, Raiders and Sea Eagles.

An ankle injury cost the second-row forward a chance at playing State of Origin.

Supporters will remember Frizell's incredible try against the Wests Tigers.

In his first season in Newcastle, Tyson scored three tries and had 23 offloads over the course of the season.

Frizell ran for 2,258 running metres with an average of 118 per game.

The 29-year-old also had five line-breaks and made 673 tackles.

Nearing a special milestone of 200 NRL games, Frizell will look to have another strong year in 2022.
