There’s been no shortage of interest in our boys this week.

The nib Newcastle Knights attracted plenty of media attention and we’ve pulled together some of it in case you missed it.

TWINNING IT

Alex McKinnon and his wife Teigan have announced the wonderful news that they're expecting identical twins in 2021.

The new arrivals will join McKinnon's eldest daughter Harriet, who turned two this year.

With Teigan 13 weeks pregnant, McKinnon, our Head of Recruitment, told The Daily Telegraph's David Riccio the twins were due in May next year.

“We’ve known for five weeks now, but felt today was the right time to share our exciting news," McKinnon said.

“The house is going to be full, that’s for sure.’’

MATA'UTIA'S EMOTIONAL EXIT

It's now been almost a week since fan favourite Sione Mata'utia confirmed his exit from the Knights.

The outpouring of support from the entire Knights community has been stunning to witness.

Now, the 24-year-old has opened up to Newcastle Herald scribe Barry Toohey in an exclusive tell-all interview following the announcement regarding his departure.

"Some mornings I get up and I'm happy and thinking about the new adventure but then I'm sad again thinking of what I'm going to be missing out on in Newcastle and not being able to don the red and blue jersey," Mata'utia said.

ONE LAST JOB FOR TYSON

He's one of the most anticipated arrivals in recent Knights history, and Tyson Frizell is working hard to get his ducks in a row ahead of his arrival at the Club in January.

But first, as reported by The Herald's Robert Dillon, Frizell's focussed on claiming his third straight Origin series win.

"There's a lot to organise before we move, but obviously it's all on hold until after the series," he said.

"I haven't had a lot of time to think about it. We've pretty much gone from one [NRL] bubble into another [Origin]."
