It’s another big round of NRL action this weekend and club legend Andrew ‘Joey’ Johns once again has you covered if you need help with your weekly tips.
This week presents the final chance for The Great Man to finally secure the perfect round which has eluded him all season.
Coming off a 6/8 last week and a 7/8 the week prior, Johns is surely coming close to finally wrapping up a perfect eight.
In this series, he will preview and review every single nib Newcastle Knights game in 2020 and will also be providing his tips for all eight games, every round.
Joey’s Rd20 preview: No.1 battle, Best return, Saf twins
Cowboys v Broncos
Joey's Tip: Cowboys
He's been calling for it all season, and now Johns may finally get his wish, tipping the Cowboys to gift a maiden wooden spoon to the Brisbane Broncos.
Titans v Knights
Joey's Tip: Knights
With a home final on the line for the Knights and the Titans not having much to play for, Joey was certain the Knights would get the W and secure a blockbuster against Souths at McDonald Jones Stadium next week.
Rabbitohs v Roosters
Joey's Tip: Roosters
Depending on the result of the game prior, the Bunnies could be playing for a home final, and the Roosters will be without rested stars Joey Manu and Lindsey Collins.
However, The Great Man still predicted the back-to-back premiers to get the job done over their fierce rivals.
Bulldogs v Panthers
Joey's Tip: Panthers
It's the penthouse up against the doghouse in the final round of the competition, with the Dogs looking to avoid the spoon with an unlikely win over the minor premiers.
However, The Eighth Immortal couldn't see an upset on the cards.
Sharks v Raiders
Joey's Tip: Sharks
The finals arrive a week early in Kogarah this weekend, with the Sharks and Raiders likely to come up against each other again next weekend.
With the Raiders opting to rest the likes of Jarrod Croker and Jack Wighton, Joey was willing to tip the upset and back the Sharks to get the job done.
Tigers v Eels
Joey's Tip: Eels
Despite there being plenty of emotion surrounding Benji Marshall's farewell, Joey backed the Eels to seal a spot in the top four with a win over the Tigers at Bankwest.
Warriors v Sea Eagles
Joey's Tip: Warriors
The Warriors will be itching to get this one out of the way and head back across the ditch, and Joey believes they'll do it in style by beating the hapless Sea Eagles at what's become their Central Coast fortress.
AOB: Injury Update, team make-up, Best return
Dragons v Storm
Joey's Tip: Storm
The outs for Melbourne read like this; Brenko Lee, Cameron Smith, Cameron Munster, Felise Kaufusi, Jahrome Hughes, Jesse Bromwich, Kenny Bromwich, Josh Addo-Carr, Justin Olam, Nelson Asofa-Solomona, Suliasu Vunivalu and Tino Faasuamaleaui.
However, Johns still believes the Melbourne B-Team will get the job done.
