The nib Newcastle Knights could welcome as many as three players back from injury next weekend.
Set to play the Roosters at the SCG next Saturday, coach Adam O’Brien revealed his team has finally had some luck on the injury front.
Edrick Lee has been absent since breaking his arm against the Storm in Round 5 but finally appears likely to make his return.
Sione Mata’utia suffered a lower leg injury against the Bulldogs, while forward Daniel Saifiti reinsured his knee against Manly. And according to O’Brien, the trio are firming.

“I think we’ll get Daniel, Edrick and possibly Sione,” O’Brien said.
“We’re looking at three.”
One player who is in some doubt is Phoenix Crossland. He will need to be monitored throughout the week after leaving the field in Friday’s 38-10 win over Cronulla due to a head knock.
“He was with the physios when I left,” O’Brien said.
“I’m not sure if he passed the HIA. I think he failed it. I’m not sure.”
Kalyn Ponga left the field worse for wear courtesy of a busted nose but lit McDonald Jones Stadium up.

The livewire scored a hat trick in a stunning performance where he not only highlighted his attacking flare but showed true toughness.
“He gets lots of raps and rightfully so for how talented he is a tough kid,” O’Brien said.
“For what he cops and he cops it every week, they look to take his head off and get stuck into him and he kept fighting the whole way.”
