Numbers: 80-minute man Klemmer puts in the hard yards

These are the numbers that matter.

While stats can't tell you everything, they do paint a very telling picture.

Here's what they told us following the Round 11 clash with the Bulldogs.

Highlights: Knights defeated by Bulldogs in the wet

189

Running metres from David Klemmer.

He didn’t get the result he wanted against his old side, but Klemmer never stopped trying in our loss against the Bulldogs with 76 post contact metres to his name and playing 80 minutes also.

Kalyn Ponga also helped in the running department with 248 metres as toO did Bradman Best with 208.

10

Tackle breaks by Kalyn Ponga.

It unfortunately wasn’t his day today but you couldn’t fault Ponga’s efforts in attempting to create chances. Hymel Hunt also did well in this area with eight next to his name and three line-breaks as well.

59

Tackles made by Mitch Barnett.

He was a late inclusion into the starting side and he tried to make his presence felt from the word ‘go’. The enforcer was constantly aggressive in defence as to was Kurt Mann who made 52 tackles.

66

Post-contact metres from Jacob Saifiti

Both prop forwards we’re immense today in attempting to push the momentum back and Saifiti showed much heart with 158 overall running metres. Best also grabbed 61.
