Numbers: McCullough shines again

These are the numbers that matter.

While stats can't tell you everything, they do paint a very telling picture.

Here's what they told us following the Round 9 loss to the Eels.

Watch: Power and determination from McCullough

60

Tackles made by hooker Andrew McCullough.

The 80-minute man is quickly beginning to prove his worth as a tackling machine.

For the second week in a row he made 50+ tackles and even putting another try to his name too.

161

Metres run by both Herman Ese’ese and David Klemmer.

Both forwards spent almost 60 minutes on the field and in that time did the best they could to push the Eels defence back.

Klemmer also made 64 post-contact metres and made three offloads from his 16 runs, while Ese’ese made 53 post-contact metres as well as an offload.

9

Tackle breaks by Kalyn Ponga.

Match Highlights: Eels just too good in tight battle

He pushed and prodded all night to try and make things happen, and subsequently the Eels often struggled to pin him down.

Ponga also ran for 182 metres.

Kurt Mann also did well in that area breaking six tackles while crafty dummy-half also made four.
