Tyson Frizell has taken to social media to issue a statement following the news that he has accepted a three-year offer to join the nib Newcastle Knights starting in season 2021.
The backrower posted the following on his Instagram account:
It reads: Hey everyone, in regards to the news of my recent signing with the Newcastle Knights, I have signed and agreed to terms, Due to the circumstances it has not been registered with the NRL. As an individual, family, community and as a game, there are more pressing priorities at the moment. So with respect to the media and fans I would like to make no further comments on my contract until a appropriate time. Stay safe everyone.
