“I’m so grateful for the faith the Club has shown in me,” Saifiti said.

“While there have been some tough times, we showed improvement this season and are getting better.

“We’ve signed some quality players in recent times and that has certainly helped with my development.

“I owe a lot to this club. My brother Jacob and I came here as teenagers to play 20s and I’ve been living my dream ever since.

“We have something special here and a talented group of guys. I’m excited for what the future holds, not only for myself and my teammates but for our loyal fans. That’s why I re-signed.”

A one club player, the 23-year-old made his NRL debut for the Knights in 2016 and has played 85 games for the Club.

A member of the victorious 2019 NSW Origin side, Saifiti is also a Fiji international.

Having joined the Knights in 2015 as part of the Jersey Flegg side, the forward’s rise has been rapid with Saifiti on track to reach the 100-game milestone next season.

A Central Coast product, Saifiti has established himself as a genuine starter and forward leader.

According to Knights CEO, Mr Philip Gardner, re-signing the prop is a key step in ensuring sustained success at the Club.

“Daniel is still only young but shows a maturity beyond his years,” Mr Gardner said.

“He’s a wonderful young man and exceptional player.

“This season we saw him take a giant step forward in developing into the player we all know he can become.

“His form deservedly saw him selected to play in two games for NSW in what was a successful State of Origin series.

“Those rewards are a result of his hard work and consistency.

“We believe his best is still to come which is very exciting, not only for Daniel but for the Club.”
