The Canterbury Cup Knights have been defeated by Newtown, going down 34-22 at Henson Park.
The Knights threatened once of the comebacks of the year, coming from 28-0 down to fall just short on the day.
A double to Jets fullback William Kennedy in the opening 20 minutes set-up the result, with some poor Knights defence allowing them to run in five tries in the first half.

The Knights fought back in the second stanza, with Jacob Gagai scoring a double.
Starford Toa impressed in his promotion to the Canterbury Cup, scoring a try to get the Knights back in it in the 62nd minute.
Unfortunately for the boys in red and blue, a Scott Sorensen try with 5 minutes to go sealed the win for the Jets.
