Heart-warming message of praise for visit

The Knights received this message via email from a supporter named Carla.

'Hi,

I would like to thank the Knights players (Bradman Best, Josh King, Jacob Saifiti and Tautau Moga) for visiting the Oncology unit at the John Hunter Children’s Hospital last Friday week.

You visited and met my granddaughter Mindy on this day. She has been diagnosed with Type B cell Acute Lymphoblastic Leukaemia 5 weeks ago. She is 12 years old.

Your visit and gifts gave this sweet little girl the biggest lift that I have seen from her in weeks.

She couldn’t wait to tell her younger sister, Jemima and brother Aaron about your visit. They are big fans.

Her eyes were bright and shining and she was so excited to meet you all.

So, if you have ever doubted that your visits are worthwhile, let me tell you that they definitely are!

Thank you from the bottom of my heart for giving Mindy hope, a huge smile and for just being there!!

Please don’t stop this...it makes all the difference to children with this debilitating illness.

  Thanks again,

  Carla Beer
