Tigers too strong for Jersey Flegg Knights

The Jersey Flegg Knights were unable to overcome a strong Wests Tigers outfit on Saturday.

The Knights went down 34-20 at St Johns Oval.

It was 18-0 after 20 minutes with Tiger Liam Scolari bagging a double and Lucas Castle also on the board early.

The home side did their best to fight their way back into the game with Gary Anderson and Ben Talty scoring in quick succession to get it to 18-8 at the break.

But the Tigers halted the momentum with a try to Rua Ngatikaura early in the second half.

Halfback Cameron Davies kept the Knights in the fight but the Tigers wouldn’t let them narrow the gap with Shondre Lee-Silva extending the lead.

While Luke Huth scored in the 59th minutes, Daniel Sykes wrapped things up in the 66th minute.
