Power Rankings for Round 18

In 2019, newcastleknights.com.au will be awarding our own 3, 2, 1 each week.

We’ll keep tally as we rank the performances of our troops throughout the season.

Here’s how the nib Newcastle Knights looked after Round 18:

3 - Kalyn Ponga

In his return from injury, the fullback was strong and creative.

He played a role in both the team’s tries and created several exciting attacking opportunities.

Brown: Embarrassment, poor decisions and review

2- Connor Watson

There’s no denying the team was energetic while Watson was on the field.

Watson played 44 minutes from the bench.

He made a line break, three tackle breaks and came within a whisker of scoring a try.

1 - David Klemmer

The big man ran for 175 metres, the most of any player in the side.

In his 71 minute stint, he also made 33 tackles.
