Knights support Beanie for Brain Cancer Round

Beanie for Brain Cancer Round is back in Round 19 when the nib Newcastle Knights host the Wests Tigers at Beanie for Brain Cancer Stadium, Newcastle to raise awareness for a disease that still has no cure.

Brain cancer is the largest cancer killer of both children and adults under 40 years of age, whilst being the most underfunded.

“We need answers to brain cancer,” former Knight Mark Hughes said.

“We need a cure. I need it and so many other people in the community need it.

“The only way we’re going to do it is by raising some many so we can keep ripping into some research.

“It’s people like McDonald Jones Homes who are willing to help us. Good local community, Mark Hughes Foundation is now a national foundation and it started right here in the hunter with amazing wonderful support.

“It started right here in Newcastle and we don’t forget that.

“Get to the game, wear your beanie and show your support. Every time I see someone in a beanie it gives me a lot of strength.”

The Mark Hughes Foundation are doing a tremendous job in raising awareness and much needed funds towards research.

You can show your support by purchasing a beanie at the game this weekend.
