Origin duo cop knocks, Levi early return chances

nib Newcastle Knights prop Tim Glasby has picked up a medial ligament elbow injury ahead of the Broncos clash on Saturday.

Injury Report: Update on Glasby, Ponga and Levi

The severity of the injury is still unknown, with scan results expected early Tuesday.

Head of Physical Performance, Balin Cupples said Glasby was caught awkwardly in a tackle, but the severity of the injury is still unknown.

"He has a medial elbow ligament injury," Cupples said.

"We will find out more later today and tomorrow as he builds into the week."

Ponga's incredible journey in his words

Maroons fullback Kalyn Ponga has suffered a minor cork, however should be clear to play this weekend with sufficient injury management.

"Kalyn has a cork just above his knee," Cupples explained.

"It will take a fair bit of application from him this week, to ensure he is right to go for the weekend."

Luckily, our remaining representative boys pulled through unscathed, with no reported injuries to Daniel Saifiti, James Gavet, Mason Lino, Herman Ese'ese or Hymel Hunt.

Injured hooker Danny Levi appears to be ahead of schedule, with a possible return against the Bulldogs in three weeks time.

"Danny's application throughout the process has been outstanding," Cupples said.

"He is looking at the Bulldogs game in three weeks if he maintains his current level of progress."

Saifiti proves he belongs in Origin arena
