Newcastle Knights coaching opportunities

The nib Newcastle Knights are a professional rugby league club who compete in NSWRL state based Junior and Senior competitions as well as Australia's premier rugby league competition, the National Rugby League (NRL).

Playing in red and blue, the Knights joined the top tier competition in 1988, 79 years after the previous Newcastle based team, the Newcastle Rebels had departed the Sydney competition with the formation of a separate league competition based in the Newcastle region. The club has won two premierships over its history (1997 and 2001).

REPRESENTATIVE and TALENT DEVELOPMENT PATHWAYS

With the nib Newcastle Knights participating in Elite programs, the structure aims to provide a uniformed and integrated approach to initial trials, training and final squad selection. Rugby League participants across Australia and New Zealand are eligible for selection in Knights’ squads.

Representative and Talent Development Pathways programs provide distinct career path opportunities for players, coaches, support staff, match officials and administrators. In doing so, they acknowledge the passion and determination of local clubs and their highly valued volunteer workers.
