The Newcastle Knights Jersey Flegg side came back with a bang after a 54-0 drubbing over the Victoria Thunderbolts on the weekend.

Despite a two week break, the 20s showcased some fine attacking plays and defensive prowess to control the match.

From the starting whistle Newcastle dominated their opponents, they scored two tries in the first five minutes via Jack Cameron and Gary Anderson.

The Thunderbolts just didn’t have any answers as the points kept flowing for the red and blue on Sunday.

Elijah Rasiga, Toby Marks and Timanu Alexander all pulled off doubles, Dylan Lucas and Luke Huth also added to the tally.

Bayden Searle was handy with the boot and nailed seven from 10 conversions.

Timanu Alexander was the last to score in the 46th minute, with the remaining time end-to-end football to see the Knights take a clean sheet and keep their spot in the top eight.
