"It's something that I do. I hold myself accountable"

He’s a try scoring machine.

Just four games in and Edrick Lee already has three tries to his name.

A known threat out wide, the Newcastle Knights have been taking advantage of Lee’s ability to find the line.

Lee reaping reward from Ponga switch

The 26-year-old hit a career half century against the Dragons last week.

It was a cracker! Thanks to a bit of precision from a team mate.

Faith in Lino and Pearce protection

In the tenth minute of the match a bullet cut-away pass from Kalyn Ponga helped guide Lee over for the four-pointer.

The tall winger, who tallied 12 tries for the Sharks last season, said he has high expectations to make sure he comes up with the goods each game.

Family first for Ponga

“It’s something that I do,” Lee added.

“I hold myself accountable, making sure I am finishing off every set piece.”

Ponga update, Mann and Mata'utia in doubt

But while the tries seem to be flowing….. wins aren’t coming so easy for the red and blue.

At just one win from four, desperation is kicking in for Newcastle to start getting some more victories.

The Great Debate with Kurt and Hymel

The Knights winger admits he loves to score but winning, that's even better!

“At the end of the day, I am more worried about the end result than what I am going to achieve scoring wise,” Lee explained.

“If I can turn more tries into wins, hopefully it will set the season up.”
