Power Rankings Round 4

In 2019, newcastleknights.com.au will be awarding our own 3, 2, 1 each week.

We’ll keep tally as we rank the performances of our troops throughout the season.

Knights enforcer David Klemmer holds on to top spot in the rankings yet again after consistently solid performances each week.

Here’s how the nib Newcastle Knights look after the fourth week of the year.

3 - David Klemmer

The workhorse continues to smash out the stats and head the rankings.

In the Knights one point loss against the Dragons last week, Klem notched up a respectable 198 all run metres, alongside team mate Kalyn Ponga, and served up the highest post contact metres in the match at 74.

The 25-year-old was also no slouch in the tackle department, with 43 tackles at 100% and 21 hit-ups.

2 - Kalyn Ponga

The youngster is starting to produce some inspiring footy.

He pumping out the metres alongside Klem in their Dragons encounter last week, Ponga recorded five tackle breaks.

In his usual style, the 21-year-old helped his team mates find the line. He set up both of the Knights tries with some pin-point ball work.

1 - Edrick Lee

The winger continues to show his worth as a finisher.

Not only did he score a try but he ran for 155 metres.
