The Canterbury Cup NSW Newcastle Knights will kick off their season against last year’s grand finalists Newtown Jets at McDonald Jones Stadium on Friday, 15th March.
Known as the Intrust Super Premiership last season, the newly named competition will be in its eleventh season of the NSW Cup.
The NSWRL’s premier competition unveiled footy apparel giant Canterbury as the new naming rights partner for the NSW Cup and a five-year deal to play the grand final at Bankwest Stadium in Western Sydney.
Be The Player: The finale
The Knights second tier squad will be aiming for a better year after finishing bottom of the ladder in 2018, with Rory Kostjasyn staying on as coach after taking charge of the side mid-year.
The Canterbury Cup will run for 24 rounds with the grand final to be played on Sunday, 29th September.
