Knights winger Shaun Kenny-Dowall said the time for excuses is over.

He knows the club needs to perform this year….. and perform well.

“We’ve got the squad now, the rebuild is over,” Kenny-Dowall added.

“We’ve got to put the runs on the board and up the performance to get the wins.”

The veteran outside back agrees there’s been some great additions to the squad in players like David Klemmer and Tim Glasby.

“They’ve recruited very well and that has only added to the pressure of making sure I play consistently every week,” Kenny-Dowall admitted.

“It’s a great issue to have being able to draw on the depth and experience that we have got and that is definitely going to benefit our team this year.”

He knows that added experience to the squad will not only lift the spirit of the club, but that of the younger players.

“That depth has been added to the squad,” Kenny-Dowall said.

“The experience that these younger players are watching is invaluable and I really think we’re going to see the best out of the young boys.

“Especially for those young boys who have been through the tough times.”
