Having lived in Brisbane, Canberra and Cronulla, Edrick Lee was looking for a more relaxed lifestyle.
Coming off a breakout season with the Sharks, the new nib Newcastle Knights recruit was keen to get out of the city.

He saw Newcastle as a chance to really settle down.
"It's a bit more relaxing lifestyle up here," Lee said.

After coming off playing in the finals with the Sharks, Lee has high expectation for the Knights in 2019.
He started pre-season training with the team two days ago and said he really likes what he sees so far.

"Definitely the roster, it's a young, exciting roster with a few older heads," Lee added.
"That's what we're looking to do, we're looking to get back into the finals and make sure we're playing September football.
