Recruits wrap-up: 'Rookie of the year contender' injured

They won't all be wearing red and blue until next season but that doesn't mean we're not keeping track of our new recruits.

With the 2019 NRL pre-season getting closer by the minute, we've been keeping a close eye on how the likes of Jesse Ramien, Tim Glasby and Edrick Lee have been performing.

Fortunately for the Club, all our new additions have been in fine form.

TIM GLASBY

Post match: Danny Levi

Glasby played 52 minutes in Melbourne's 20-4 win over Parramatta.

It was another consistent showing from the veteran.

The forward made 118 metres from 13 runs with 50 post-contact metres.

He also made 28 tackles with only the one miss.

JESSE RAMIEN

Dubbed a Dally M 'Rookie of the year contender' by veteran Fox League commentator Andrew Voss during Saturday night's call, Ramien started the game in fine touch.

He was causing North Queensland plenty of headaches in the opening 10 minutes of the match but his night was cut short when the centre limped from the field after 18 minutes.

Highlights: Hardened Knights stun Penrith

Prior to suffering an ankle injury, the commentary team couldn't control their excitement whenever Ramien got near the ball.

His two tackle breaks troubled the Cowboys defence early with Ramien making 21 metres from two runs.

It appears unlikely he'll be fit to face the Knights next week.

EDRICK LEE

The flyer has been sidelined for the past month with a fractured shoulder.

"I played the next week thinking it wasn't fractured," Lee said last week.

"I obviously had the scans (afterwards) and it showed up fractured which wasn't a good thing for myself, but I've been able to work on other areas of my body and get it right for the return."

The 25-year-old is hopeful of returning to the field next week.
