Knights youngsters produce master-class against Warriors

Young half Phoenix Crossland displayed maturity beyond his years as he delivered a master-class for the Jersey Flegg Knights in their 56-10 win over the Warriors.

Crossland, a late addition to the halves after being named on the extended bench earlier in the week, snared two tries in a dominant performance.

Playing at Mt Smart Stadium, the visitors wasted little time getting on the board with Mat Croker barging over early from close range to secure the first try of the day.

Crossland then went over, supporting Cooper around the ruck to extend the lead.

The Knights scored four tries in quick succession before the Warriors hit back through Wesley Veikoso.

While the Warriors managed to strike late in the first half through Lewis Soosemea, the Knights were far too strong.

Beau Fermor set the tone defensively and was rewarded in attack with a double, while Kurtis Dark also crossed courtesy of his hard line running.
