ISP big men must match rival forward pack

Rory Kostjasyn wants his ISP NSW Newcastle Knights to match Wentworthville head-on.

Facing off in Cessnock on Saturday, the Knights are bracing for a sizeable pack.

"They're typical of a Parramatta side – big and powerful through their middle," Kostjasyn said.

"They also have big and powerful outside backs.

"It's going to be a physical challenge for us defensively. They'll have some blokes who will challenge us to put our body in front.

"We need to match how hard they want to run and how hard they want to tackle and then challenge them to do the same."

Jack Cogger and Brock Lamb have been named in the halves for the clash with Kostjasyn impressed with their showing last week.

Having played their junior football together, the coach is keen for the pair to build on their partnership.

"Having Lamby and Cogs there is good," Kostjasyn said.

"They've obviously played a bit of first grade now and a fair bit of footy together.

"They combined pretty well last week considering it was their first game together for a while.

"It will be nice for them to build on that."
