She's one of the happiest little four-year-old's out there.

Amaya loves her rugby league, and equally (if not more) loves favourite player Kalyn Ponga.

The young Knights fan is playing in her first season of rugby league for Morpeth in the Maitland region, and since meeting Ponga back in January, he has been her biggest fan.

The two have recently struck up a cute friendship, which has melted the hearts of many sporting fans across the country and gathered plenty of attention from the media.

Ponga told HIT 106.9's Nick, Jess and Simon he generally loves seeing the vibrant little four-year-old.

"I met her at the beginning of the year at a Knights fans day and she's just the cutest thing as soon as I saw her," Ponga said.

"She's just a joyful little thing.

"I contacted her through her mum, who sends me messages about the photos of me on her wall, and it's her birthday in just over a month so I just thought I'd get her something for that."

Despite receiving recent bad news that the 20-year-old would miss Origin III after he suffered a hamstring injury in last week's clash against the Canterbury-Bankstown Bulldogs, Ponga still had time to think about his newest little supporter.

INJURED PONGA 'HELPING TO MAKE MY DAUGHTER HAPPY'

Parents Mat and Miquita Clarke shared a post on twitter about the special friendship Ponga had struck up with their daughter and how he went above and beyond to make her the happiest four-year-old kid around.

"Kalyn was sadly ruled out of Origin III and several weeks for the Knights due to injury, but instead of lamenting it, he was helping to make my daughter happy," the post read.

"Kalyn contacted me today, when he saw a photo of Amaya in her headgear where I had mentioned getting her some KP headgear from Steeden, offering to get her, her own headgear for her birthday.

"I am seriously blown away by the lengths this young man has gone to, just to make her feel special.

"He is a credit to himself, his family and the Club. Thank you so much Kalyn for your generosity and time. I can't wait to see her reaction when she gets her new headgear."

Amaya and her parents have been invited to catch up with Kalyn at a training session soon to surprise the young fan with her new KP headgear.
