"He's shown himself to be a very valuable member of our team, not only for what he contributes on the field but also what he brings off it" stated General Manager of Football, Darren Mooney.

A Raymond Terrace junior who made his NRL debut for the Club as a teenager back in 2014, Mata'utia has established himself as a dependable first grader and leader.

Having made the move to centre this year, Mata'utia has found some of his best form.

Equally at home in the backrow, the young talent provides the Club with versatility, while he's secured his future.

Meanwhile, youngster Nick Meaney has confirmed he will be leaving the Club to join the Canterbury-Bankstown Bulldogs alongside teammate Jack Cogger in 2019.
