Newcastle backrower Lachlan Fitzgibbon is facing a one-match ban for a grade two dangerous contact charge.
The incident involved Melbourne prop Tim Glasby and occurred in the 65th minute of Sunday's loss.
Fitzgibbon will miss one match if he pleads guilty.
Should the 24-year-old faces a possible two-game suspension should he fight the charge and lose.
