Venton finds out he's visiting the Knights
Venton Harding has been a diehard nib Newcastle Knights fan ever since he moved to Newcastle about 12 years ago.
A resident at Catholic Healthcare’s aged care home, St John’s Villa in New Lambton, Venton was able to save up enough money to purchase his first ever full season Membership for the 2018 season.
And, for the first time ever, he saw the Knights live in their Round 1 win against the Manly Sea Eagles.
Despite being in a wheelchair and having had a hip replacement just over a month ago, Venton has committed to going to every home game to see his beloved Knights.
He got the surprise of his life when the Club invited him to come along to training on Wednesday to meet and chat with all the players.
As a dedicated red and blue fan, it will be a day he’ll never forget.
