Game day information: Knights v Eels

The nib Newcastle Knights will clash with the Parramatta Eels in a pre-season trial match at Maitland’s No. 1 Sportsground on Saturday, February 24.

It will be a huge day of football, with an action packed six grades running out. The day kicks off with the girls in the Tarsha Gale Cup before Harold Matts, SG Ball, Jersey Flegg, Reserve Grade and finally the NRL main event.

10.30am: Tarsha Gale Cup – Newcastle v Canterbury

12pm: Harold Matthews Cup – Newcastle v North Sydney

1.30pm: SG Ball Cup – Newcastle v North Sydney

3pm: Jersey Flegg – Knights v Eels

5.30pm: Meet Dylan Phythian at Membership Marquee outside ground

Membership Marquee

Don’t forget to visit the Knights Membership team! They’ll be there all day to sign you up as a red and blue supporter for the 2018 season.

It’s the cheapest way to watch the Knights play, with Memberships from as low as $12.50 a game.

If you have any enquiries about becoming a Member or you just need help deciding which Membership is best for you, be sure to have a chat with the team.

The Membership marquee will be located outside the ground and have player visits from 5.30pm - 6.30pm.


Match Day Activities

There’s not just footy to enjoy on the day! There will be plenty of activities to keep the kids happy on the day including face painting and a jumping castle operating from 10.30am.


Knights Merchandise

All the footy action might be in Maitland, but you can still get your hands on all your favourite Knights merchandise on the day!

All the latest 2018 Knights gear including jerseys, polos and training gear, will be available at the merchandise outlet located outside the main gate entrance to the ground from 10:30am until NRL kick-off.

Don’t forget, Members receive a 10 per cent discount with proof of Membership.

Q: Is the game sold out?
A: Yes, tickets have sold out for the trial match against Parramatta.

Q: Can I bring food and drink into the venue?
A: A canteen and variety of food vendors will be available on the day. Ticket holders are welcome to bring their own packed food (non-commercial foods). This is a licenced event, and alcoholic and non-alcoholic beverages will be available to purchase. No liquor, glass bottles, breakable containers, cans or unsealed beverages are permitted into the grounds. Sealed non-alcoholic beverages in plastic bottles will be permitted.

Q: Can I get a pass out at the game?
A: Yes you can.

Q: Do children need tickets?
A: YES! It is important to note with the trial match sold out on Saturday, a reminder that while kids (under 12) go free, a ticket is still required to attend the game.
