Three nib Newcastle Knights were in action during the final weekend of the regular rounds of the Rugby League World Cup.

Jacob Saifiti played 19 minutes off the bench in Fiji's win over Italy on Friday night in Canberra. The win sets up a quarter-final match against Danny Levi's New Zealand in Wellington.

FIJI 38 defeated ITALY 10

On Saturday, Tonga upset New Zealand, with a 28-22 win in front of a sold out crowd in Hamilton. Levi played 37 minutes off the bench for the Kiwis.

TONGA 28 defeated NEW ZEALAND 22

Also on Saturday, Samoa drew with Scotland, with forward Herman Ese'ese playing 50 minutes. Samoa is now set to take on Australia in the quarter-finals in Darwin.
