The focus is now on Saturday's match against the USA, where the Fiji Bati start as favourites.

“On paper it looks that way but we can never underestimate them, they are the USA and they are getting better and better,” Saifiti said.

“So on paper it might like an easy game but we don’t have that mindset.”

That said, Saifiti believes Fiji will perform strongly in the World Cup tournament.

“We are not here just to make up the numbers, we believe we can take it out,” he said.

“The last couple of tournaments we made the semi finals and we can’t see why we can’t do more this year.”
